Important Notes:

• Old Regime allows standard deduction ₹50,000 + professional tax + 80C (max ₹1,50,000 including home loan principal) + 80D + 80CCD(1B) (₹50,000 extra) + home loan interest (up to ₹2,00,000).
• Cess of 4% is applied on the tax amount (before cess).
• Senior citizen slabs differ (basic exemption ₹3,00,000 for age 60-80 and ₹5,00,000 for 80+). This calculator assumes general category.
