Hi, Friends, How are you all, I hope you all are healthy and safe. So, Friends in today's article I am going to discuss the PAN card. (Permanent Account No.).

1. PAN card- For what Purpose we required a PAN card
If any person earns an income of more than 2.5 Lakhs in any Financial Year, he should apply for Pan Card, and after year-end He/She or the Firm needs to file an Income-tax return with the Income-tax Authorities. If any person earns more than e.g. 10 Lakhs and he did not apply for PAN then, He will be penalized by the income tax department. This will impact that individual credit report and he may face major problems in later-on to get a loan from the financial institutions.
To apply PAN card is an individual personal responsibility.
We required a PAN card for the following basic purposes.
a. To open a Bank account
b. To apply for Bank loans 1. Personal loan, 2. Home Loan, 3. Loan for business, etc.
c. To file an income tax return (regular filling of the income tax return will help to improve credit score and this will an individual person to get Loan for various purposes very easily.
d. To start any Business we are required to have a PAN card, without PAN Card, as per the rules no person can start any business venture.
So, for the above purposes, we are required to have a PAN card.
2. Who should apply for PAN:
a. If any person has an income more than the exemption limit i.e. 2.5 Lakhsb. If you want to take any business Loan/ Home loan/ Commercial Load/ Education loan
c. If any person wants to start any business venture, he should apply for the PAN first.
d. Doing export/import business
e. Making an investment in the stock market, without a PAN card you can not invest in any kind of financial market products e.g. Shares, bonds, Mutual funds, or Trade-in commodities.
3. How can we apply for PAN:
So, friends now day government is focusing on digitization now most of the government schemes are available online. Now you can apply for PAN online, and you can get the virtual PAN instantly into your email. Due to digitization, anyone can apply for a PAN card from a Mobile phone also.Now you can apply for PAN Card by logging into the NSDL official site, clicking on this link https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/endUserRegisterContact.html
After logging on fill in your details as per your other details and pay the registration fees of Rs.107/- with taxes. And you will get your PAN card
4. Documents are required for PAN card
a. Aadhaar Card issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India; or
b. Elector's photo identity card; or
c. Driving License; or
d. Passport; or
e. Ration card having a photograph of the applicant; or
f. Arm's license; or
g. The photo identity card issued by the Central
Government or State Government or
Public Sector Undertaking; or
h. Pensioner card having a photograph of the
applicant; or
i. Central Government Health Service
Scheme Card or Ex-Servicemen
Contributory Health Scheme photo card;
or
(ii) Certificate of identity in Original signed by a
Member of Parliament or Member of Legislative
Assembly or Municipal Councillor or a Gazetted
officer, as the case, maybe; or
(iii) Bank Certificate in Original on letterhead from
the branch (along with name and stamp of the
issuing officer) containing duly attested
photograph and bank account number of the
applicant.

5. How much fee is required for PAN Card processing
The fee for processing a PAN application is Rs. 107/- (including taxes)6. Step for applying for PAN Card online.
1. First, you need to visit the NSDL official website: https://www.tin-nsdl.com/2. As soon as you visit the NSDL website, you will get the following popup message
"Attention PAN Card Applicants
PAN cards are now being printed with Enhanced Quick Response (QR) Code.
Specimen of the PAN Card as per the new design is as under:

Features of the new PAN Card design:
- The Enhanced QR Code will contain the Photograph & Signature of the PAN applicant apart from existing information, i.e., PAN, Name, Father’s Name/Mother’s Name, Date of Birth/Incorporation/Formation. The aforesaid details will be digitally signed & coded in the Enhanced QR Code.
- The Enhanced QR Code shall be readable by a specific Mobile App which is available on Google Play Store (Keywords – ‘Enhanced PAN QR Code Reader’). An autofocus camera having a resolution of 12 Mega Pixel and above is recommended for the reading of the Enhanced QR Code.
- Positions of Photograph, Signature, Hologram, and dimension of QR Code have changed.
- The Enhanced QR code will also be provided in the e-PAN Card issued to the PAN applicants.

Once all the details are filled and the fee payment is done, you will receive an acknowledgment containing a unique number on acceptance of this form. This acknowledgment number can be used for tracking
the status of the application.

Acknowledgement No. & send to
57575 to obtain application status.
For example → Type 'NSDLPAN 881010101010100' and send it to 57575.
