1. CMA intermediate Admission process
To take admitted into the CMA intermediate course, certain eligibility criteria are defined by the ICAI, to take admission into the CMA Intermediate course you need to do registration with the CMA institute.
You can register online and offline. To do registration online you need to visit icmai's official website.
In the offline process, students need to visit the regional council office/Chapters/ROCC/ CMA support center and fill-up the form.
Eligibility for registration:
a. Foundation Course Passed: Class 10+2+ foundation course exam passed.
b. Degree holder of any recognized university
c. Pursuing Engineering Course (Completed 2 years/iv Semesters
d. Qualified Engineers, etc.
At the time of registration, students need to submit proof of qualification.
After successful registration, the institute allotted the registration number to all the students & Identity cards will be issued.
Cut-off date to register for intermediate:
For the June term exam, 31st January of that year
For the December term exam, 31st July of that year
Time Limit for Validity of the Registration/Admission:
Registration is valid for a period of 7 years.
2. Fees:
In the CMA intermediate course, students can take admission by ORAL/POSTAL in both the case tuition fees are the same i.e. Rs. 22,000/-.(revised w.e.f. 11.08.2020) & coaching revalidation fees for single Group Rs.800/- & for Both Group Rs.1, 600/-.
The registration fees includes a. Study material, b. Coaching for both Groups at the regional chapter c. Practical training & Computer training are included in registration fees. But Students need to pay Rs.250/- for the prospectus fee separately.
3. Levels of CMA Intermediate course
The CMA intermediate course is divided into two groups,
Group 1 Four (04) subjects &
Group 2 four (04) subjects.
Students have a choice to go for attempt both groups or attempt one group at a time.

But to qualify for the CMA final all students are required to pass in both groups.
4. CMA India syllabus for Intermediate course
Currently, the CMA course Syllabus 2016 is applicable and this might be a review or change in the future. As per CMA Syllabus 2016 for the Intermediate course, details are as follows:

As per CMA Syllabus 2016, all the students have to undergo Coaching and computer training, Communication and soft skills training, and Practical training. All the training is mandatory and students need to complete the statutory training before appearing in the group two Examination.
6. Examinations
Examination fees for single Group 1 are Rs.1, 200/- for Both groups Rs.2, 400/-
Note: all the students need to fill up the examination form within the stipulated time. So students need to regularly visit the institute's official website income on a regular basis.
CMA examination is held two times every year, and those are conducted in the month of June and December. 3 Hours Written test Examination for 100 Marks for Each subject.
To pass the CMA Intermediate exam Students need to get 50% Marks in aggregate and a minimum of 40 marks in an individual subject. If any subject student is getting more than 60 marks, but does not get the aggregate 50% marks in all the subjects, then in the next attempt, the student will get the exemption for the subject in which he has scored 60 or more than 60 marks.
To pass the CMA Intermediate exam Students need to get 50% Marks in aggregate and a minimum of 40 marks in an individual subject. If any subject student is getting more than 60 marks, but does not get the aggregate 50% marks in all the subjects, then in the next attempt, the student will get the exemption for the subject in which he has scored 60 or more than 60 marks.
7. CMA Inter Passing Criteria.
Standard of Pass:
Students of the Intermediate examination need to score 40% marks in Each paper and on an aggregate of 50% of the total marks.
In this std. Pass criteria many students are struggling/confuse over these criteria.
So, in simple words, the student needs to score a 50% mark in the totality & of an individual subject minimum of 40 marks are required to pass or qualify for the CMA intermediate course exam.
E.g. 1. Paper 1 45 marks Paper 2 50 marks Paper 3 75 marks and Paper 4 40 marks, then your total will be in aggregate 210 Marks. Then you will be declared as Pass.
2. Paper1 40marks Paper2 50marks Paper3 65marks and Paper4 40marks, then your total will be in aggregate 195 Marks. Then you will be declared as Fail.
Note: If any student is given both groups and he has scored 240 Marks in Group 1 and Group 2 if he gets 185 marks, and in all the subjects he is scoring more than 40 marks, in that case, the institute is giving/ pass on the benefit of extra marks, e.g. More than 200 and adjusted in the deficit group total, and declared that particular student pass.
